My name is Michal and this is not my first website. But it’s the first one written in English. I’m here because I have something to say. I have a lot to say. I’ve already done it in Polish, but it’s not enough. I read a lot of blogs and sometimes (well, quite often) I want to add something or comment on something. I never wanted to do it on my main site, I don’t like multilingual sources in my RSS reader, so I didn’t want to do the same to others.
Now I have this space and it’s mine. I’m going to write here about the reality that surrounds us. I’m going to write about things I agree with and things I strongly disagree with. There will be a lot of emotions here and a lot of me. Because it’s my place. It is mine. My precious.
Well, that’s different… story. 🙂
Now I have to explain one basic thing.
I’m going to write in English, which is a very foreign language to me. Please bear this in mind. I have never lived outside of Poland, I have never taken professional English courses, nor do I have any language certificates. It will be a simple language. I will make mistakes. If you want to point out some mistakes to me, please do so. I like to learn and get better at everything I do. Free language lessons from natives? Yes, please 🙂
I also have a Polish website, did I mention that? Basically, I don’t want this place to be a copy of the Polish site, nor do I want it to be a simple translation. But sometimes I will translate something and post it here. There are some great posts there that I think you’ll all enjoy, so I’d like to do a few translations. A few, I promise.
By the way, I love everything Tolkien wrote. In general, I love to read. Books and blogs, fiction and non-fiction. I live to read and I missed a place to comment on what I read. I read a lot more in English than in Polish because the internet is basically in English. Let’s face it. It’s easier to find value and great people to follow in English.
That is my reason, that is my “why”. Now it’s time to explain the “how”.
I’ll write… rarely. When something moves me. When someone pisses me off. When something will happen. Sometimes it’ll be one post a week, sometimes I’ll be silent for months and I’m really sorry about that. There are a lot of things going on around me right now, so no promises.
But what about you? Let’s say you like what I write. Great. You want to follow me. But there’s no social media button, no newsletter, nothing. Well, I have a good reason for that. I hate social media and I don’t want to manage your data, not even an email address. See the “Values” page for more of my… values 🙂

Or just the web. The web as it was always meant to be. Without ads, influencers and big tech trying to steal and sell your data. Let me stop here, I’m an idealist and a dreamer, I could write books about what’s wrong with the world.
That’s what I want to do here: write about what’s wrong with the world and – what’s important – sometimes how to fix it. I’m also going to write about what’s good about the world! There’s a lot of great stuff out there, great people to meet, great places to see, great experiences to have.
It’s a big experiment for me, I don’t know where this path will lead me. But I’m ready to go and see and I’ll know. But I’m quite calm, I’m quite sure it will be a good place.
